About the role
Moredun Scientific (www.moredun-scientific.com) is seeking to appoint two Non-Executive Directors to its Board.
Non-Executive Director of Moredun Scientific – Experience and expertise in corporate governance and business management, with extensive experience of one of the following business areas gained within a contract research organisation or commercial environment:
- Aquaculture contract research (fish health products)
- Biosafety testing of human biopharmaceuticals
Experience required
Applicants should possess excellent leadership, business or scientific skills, be familiar with the principles of corporate governance and have recognised experience in one of the fields above. As a member of the Board, you must also demonstrate a commitment to a high level of involvement and support for the work of Moredun Scientific.
This appointment will initially be for a period of 3 years with the possibility of re-appointment up to a max of 3 terms (9 years). A commitment of approximately 8 days per year is expected. The Board normally meets 4 times a year and in addition members may be asked to attend extraordinary meeting and strategic planning meetings, but these are not expected to be more than 2 days a year.
