Veterinary Research Pathologist

Salary: £48,000 – £55,000 per annum, depending on experience

About the role

The Moredun Group is seeking an enthusiastic Veterinary Research Pathologist to join the Pathology team at the Moredun Research Institute. You will provide diagnostic services in livestock pathology as well as undertaking novel research on endemic diseases of UK livestock and wildlife. You will manage and develop staff and laboratory facilities, including digital pathology, to deliver on and enhance Moredun’s reputation for high-quality disease surveillance and cutting-edge research.

Experience required

You will have:

  • Veterinary degree with the ability to register for the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons
  • Experience in both research and diagnostic pathology with publications
  • Experience of writing and securing external funding
  • Project management skills
  • Experience in managing and mentoring of both staff and students.
  • A PhD in veterinary subject or post-graduate qualification in pathology would be desirable as would the willingness to hold Personal and Project Licences.
