Gift Aid

If you are a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid offers a simple way to increase the value of your gift to The Moredun Foundation by allowing us to reclaim the tax on your donations and membership subscriptions provided you Sheep in fieldpay UK income or capital gains tax.

Using Gift Aid means that for every pound you give, The Moredun Foundation receives an extra 25 pence from the Inland Revenue, helping your donations and membership subscriptions go further.

You just need to be able to declare that you are a UK tax payer and that the amount of incme and/or capital gains tax you may pay in each tax year is at least equal to the amount of tax that the Moredun Foundation (and all the other charities and CASC's) will reclaim on any gift aided donations you may make in the same year.

If you sign up to Gift Aid, The Moredun Foundation can also reclaim tax on any donations or membership subscriptions you may have made over the last five years.  Imagine what a difference that could make and it doesn't cost you a thing.

If you donate £100.00, The Moredun Foundation can reclaim an extra £25.00 from the Inland Revenue to help support our work.

  • The Moredun Foundation can also reclaim 28p of tax on every £1 you may have donated up to 5 April 2008.
  • The Moredun Foundation can also reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 you may have donated on or after 6 April 2008.
  • The Government will also pay to The Moredun Foundation an additional 3p on every £1 you may have donated between 6 April 2008 and 5 April 2011. This transitional relief for the charity does not affect your personal tax position.

What do I have to do?
