I would personally like to invite you to become a member of the Moredun Foundation. Our members are truly important to us, and their partnership makes our work both meaningful and impactful.
Our mission is improving animal health and welfare through research and education. Moredun has maintained a close relationship with the farming community for over a hundred years, originally established by farmers who employed scientists to develop solutions to their challenges. Nothing has really changed. We continue to listen to farming priorities and integrate these into our research to make it as useful as possible.
We value the input from farmers, vets and SQPs who make up our boards, regional advisors and staff. Our connection with the farming community is at the heart of everything Moredun does, and what sets us apart from similar organisations. Our members ensure our research is both scientifically rigorous and practically used by the farming community.
As a Moredun member, you will help support vital projects, increase our lobbying power and ensure we continue leading livestock health research. In return, membership provides comprehensive and commercially unbiased information on livestock health topics, plus exclusive access to our latest research, priority event booking, and direct input into research priorities.
Thank you for your support and for believing in our mission. Your passion for livestock farming drives everything we do.
Professor Tom McNeilly, Chief Executive, Moredun Foundation

What our members are saying
“Moredun can take great pride from the healthy relationship it has across the spectrum of the livestock industry from primary producers, to animal health industries and other stakeholder groups. Much of that success, I would say, is down to the two-way street of knowledge passed both ways between Moredun and its stakeholders.”
— Scott Brown, farmer and SQP, South of Scotland
“Moredun’s unique relationship with its stakeholder community has become ever more apparent and Moredun has succeeded in building a globally recognised research team and a framework of stakeholders facilitating two way information exchange and mutual understanding of research needs and capabilities.”
— Roddy Dunse, Veterinary Surgeon, South of Scotland
“Moredun’s relationship with its core membership is unique because it was founded by farmers for farmers. The fact that it is farmer owned as well makes the relationship with the farming industry so special. The information created by Moredun is freely available to its members in an easy to understand format and is always up to date. The integrity of the research and that of the Moredun scientists is beyond reproach.”
— Sandy Tulloch, farmer, North of Scotland
