Park Tenants

Pentlands Science Park provides around 160,000 sq ft of high quality offices and laboratories for the Moredun Group and the other site tenants.

Pentlands Science Park currently has 17 tenants and has been over 95% occupied since 2002.  Pentlands Science Park is committed to delivering a high quality service and continues to enjoy a period of growing success.

Current tenants:

  • AB Biotechnology Developing and manufacturing of high purity biopharmaceutical products to GMP grade.  The company has well equipped laboratories and a MHRA licensed GMP manufacturing facility used for the production of biological medicinal products and investigational medicinal products.
  • APHA/DEFRA, Responsible for the overall leadership and strategic direction of the department
  • CSI (Compliance Services International) provides innovative regulatory and environmental strategies for the global chemistry industry.
  • Edinburgh Genetics supplies a range of innovative research and diagnostic devices, library systems and reagents to provide complex Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) services.
  • Equine Grass Sickness Fund is a charity dedicated to supporting and advancing research into grass sickness and further improving the treatment of chronic cases.
  • GALVmed (Global Alliance for Livestock Veterinary Medicines) is a global not-for-profit organisation that works to improve access to pharmaceuticals, vaccines and diagnostic products to livestock keepers in developing countries.
  • Institute of Occupational Medicine (IOM), is a long-standing, independent organisation which offers research, consulting and services in occupational and environmental health, asbestos services, laboratory analysis, workplace occupational hygiene, ventilation, expert witness and risk management.
  • Merck/Bioreliance provides testing and manufacturing services to pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical companies. Merck Group is a global science and technology company in healthcare, life science and electronics with locations in 66 countries. The Life Science Business provides access to state-of-the-art tools, services and expertise in order to perform experiments and engineer new products
  • Moredun Research Institute conducts world class scientific research to improve farm animal health and welfare through the prevention and control of infectious diseases.
  • Moredun Scientific Ltd is a contract research organisation providing research and testing services to the animal health, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
