Job Role

Jo Moore is a veterinary pathologist and provides expert advice on farm animal pathology to projects at Moredun and the Scottish Veterinary Services livestock disease surveillance programme.

Jo is also head of our Disease Control Department and manages a team of around 30 researchers

Jo Moore brings experience from previous roles

  • 2019 – 2020 Veterinary Pathologist at Rosalind Franklin Laboratory NHS Test & Trace
  • 2014 – 2019 Postdoctoral Research Associate United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)
  • 2010 – 2014 PhD candidate Murdoch University, Australia
  • 2006 – 2010 Veterinary Research Officer Animal Health and Veterinary Laboratories Agency (APHA)
