Biography

I was brought up in St. Andrews, Scotland and attended high school there. After enjoying a gap year in the Falkland Islands, I studied for my Veterinary Science degree at the University of Sydney and graduated in 2006. I completed a year of small animal practice in Northumberland and this was followed by 4 years of a PhD at the University of Glasgow investigating the cell biology stress responses of horse tendons. My PhD was awarded in 2014. I remained at the University of Glasgow to do my pathology residency and I completed my board exams in 2018. Post residency I worked for IDEXX for 4.5 years doing small animal biopsies and worked from home. In March 2025, I started at Moredun and I am enjoying the workload, working in Surveillance and undertaking various research projects.
