Biography
Graduated as a Veterinarian in 2005 (Universidad del Centro de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina), with dual PhDs in Veterinary Sciences, Argentina (2019) and University of Edinburgh, UK (2022), over 18 years of expertise in livestock and zoonotic diseases, exotic disease surveillance, and animal welfare. From 2005 to 2018, I served as a veterinary pathologist and later head of a certified pathology laboratory at INTA, Argentina. Since 2023, Postdoctoral Researcher at Moredun Research Institute on a BBSRC-funded Chlamydia project. Skilled in histopathology, molecular diagnostics, and multidisciplinary team leadership, with collaborations across Europe and the Americas.
Current Research
I am a veterinarian with broad experience in microbiology and pathology, especially in intracellular agents. Currently, I am participating in a BBSRC project that involves a novel Chlamydia abortus strain, using comparative infection dynamics studies by in vitro and in vivo methods.
