We have recently validated a new, intravenous challenge model for Streptococcus suis Serotype 2 in piglets. The model is appropriate for studies with vaccines or therapeutics. Animals typically develop clinical disease between 2 and 5 days post challenge. We conduct both proof of concept and VICH-GCP regulatory studies.
