Job Role
Ewan is currently Professor of Molecular and Cellular Oncology and was Head, School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Glasgow from 2011 to 2022.
He is currently Head, School of Biodiversity One Health and Veterinary Medicine, University of Glasgow.
He was a Member of Council of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons 2011 to 2020 and served on the Education Committee, Standards Committee, Registration Sub-committee, Ethical Review Panel and the Scientific Advisory Committee.
He served as Chair of the Veterinary Schools Council from 2016 to 2019. Between 2015 and 2019 he served as a representative for European Region1 on the European Association of Veterinary Education Establishments where he also served on the Executive Committee.
He was a member of the American Association for Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC) Executive Board, Governance Committee from 2017 to 2019.
He is currently a member of the Veterinary Delivery Landscape Partnership Steering Group and is a member of the Veterinary Working Group of the Scottish SPCA.
