Biography
Thomas lives and works on the family farm at the head of the South Tyne Valley in Cumbria, stocking pedigree Swaledale and Bluefaced Leicester ewes and Galloway cows.
Thomas graduated from Leeds Universtity with a BSc (Hons) degree in Genetics and went on to train as a Clinical Scientist in Molecular Genetics before returning home to farm. His main interests lie in livestock health and production, scientific research and the increasingly important role that genetics has in the livestock industry. Thomas has also been recently invited onto the National Sheep Association Northern Regional Committee.
