Farmer Network Project Manager and Farmer Coordinator.

I have worked for The Farmer Network for 14 years starting as a self-employed coordinator 2 days per week, to a full-time position in the team. My role includes organising and facilitating farmer events and training, putting together funding bids helping farmers with various queries including RPA login SFI applications and Grants. My role is varied and 2 days are never the same we work very closely with other organisation to make sure farmers are well informed.

I also farm in partnership with my father on our hill farm in Garsdale where we lamb 550 Swaledale Sheep breeding the North of England Mule Gimmer, we try to go to as many local shows as we can with our lambs over the summer months. All our Gimmer lambs are sold at Hawes Auction Mart to repeat customer from southern counties. We also run a small herd of goats to help us feed pet lambs and keep the weeds down in the pastures.
