The SPARC (Sustainable Parasite Control in Grazing Ruminants) project is a European initiative aimed at promoting sustainable approaches to managing roundworm infections in livestock.

Bringing together researchers, veterinarians, farmers and industry partners from over 10 countries, SPARC focuses on sharing best practices, developing practical tools, and strengthening knowledge exchange to support sustainable parasite control in livestock.

Moredun Research Institute staff – Dr Dave Bartley and Dr Agata Delnicka- are contributing expertise in parasite diagnostics, monitoring and control. MRI researchers are helping UK farmers implement targeted worm control through faecal egg counts, faecal egg count reduction tests and roundworm species identification.
