Biography

Dr Forde is currently a Lecturer in Infectious Disease Ecology at Glasgow University.

Her research applies bacterial genomics and molecular epidemiology approaches to global health challenges. She has expertise in veterinary medicine, One Health research, molecular diagnostics, bacterial genomics (including targeted sequence capture, shotgun metagenomics, host DNA depletion, adaptive sequencing), microbiology, and fieldwork in remote settings, including in East Africa and the Canadian Arctic.

With the ethos of conducting research with impact and aim to co-develop research with stakeholders and end-users to ensure that questions and results are locally relevant.
