About the role
An enthusiastic and conscientious Cleaning & Service Technician is required to join a small team working within a multi-species (small and farm) animal department dedicated to the care of animals used for veterinary research projects.
The work involves maintaining high hygiene standards within the department which will require the use of complex cleaning and sterilising equipment. The work may also include assisting with the provision of food and water for the various animal species and general maintenance of the animal accommodation i.e. cleaning cages. Some weekend working may be required for which overtime will be paid.
Prevention of disease is important, therefore contact with farm animals, rodents and rabbits outside work must be carefully managed.

Experience required
Full training will be given, and further college-based distance learning may also be available. Once trained a high level of autonomy will be required as well as regular teamwork.
Possession of a current driving licence would be advantageous to allow the candidate to make use of company vehicles in the course of their duties.
