Biography

Sandy has been a farmer all his life, working in family partnership since 1968 on leaving school. He runs 150 suckler cows, mainly salers and 600 ewes, mainly Lleyn crosses and Lairg type cheviots. All; calves are sold as store and all lambs are finished off the farm.

Sandy is the recent past chairman of the NFUS LFA committee and still represents the LFA committee at regional level. He is a regional advisor for NFU Mutual and is very interested in preserving and promoting Scottish hill farming.
