Biography
Steven has spent most of his working life promoting knowledge exchange and innovation within the beef and sheep sectors through different roles within DAERA. He has a particular interest in livestock genetic improvement programmes and grassland management. He is currently on the Register Of Sheep Advisers (RoSA) and is a Professional Member of the Institute of Agricultural Management.
He has maintained links with research establishments since completing his own PhD studies and is currently involved in a parasitology project with Queens’s University, Belfast alongside providing access to his farm for students to undertake other investigative studies.
For almost 20 years Steven has bred EasyCare sheep and recently provided genetics to breeding companies in the UK and New Zealand
